The latest statistical reports show that China exported textile and apparel worth US $156.584 billion in the previous 11 months, with 19.86 percent increase over the same period of last year.
Of the total exports, apparel and accessories generated over $105.43 billion, a rise of 22.2 percent; yarn, fabric and other textile products makes up $51.152 billion, augmenting 15.3 percent. In addition to this, shoes earned $23.03 billion, giving a boost of 16.3 percent.
Although the market demands were on the rising side, the textile and apparel industry had a self-adjustment period, therefore, the annual export figures kept on increasing gradually this year. However, at the same time, imports of textile equipment slowed down in the second half of the year.
The statistic from customs reveals that country's total exports and imports of textile equipments touched $5.206 billion. Exports were made worth $1.26 billions and imports for 3.946 billions, both giving a rise of 22.67 and 17.55 percent respectively, giving a growth of 18.75 percent over last year.
