Official sources from Ministry of Industry and Trade recently released statistics, which show that in the first ten months this year, local enterprises exported textile and apparel products worth US $10.92 million to South Africa, representing a year–on-year boost of around 392 percent.

South Africa rendered the second strongest exports growth, among all buyers of textile and apparel products during the period, preceded by only Turkey, which recorded year-on–year surge of 585 percent.

Products which helped in achieving this growth for the market include trousers with about 392 percent, shirt nearly at 247 percent, skirts at 1,036 percent and overcoat at 139 percent growth.

During this period, more than 130 local enterprises exported textile and apparel products to the South Africa, which is around 22 companies higher compared to same period last year.
