Binh Duong textile & garment export reaps high revenues

Binh Duong Province, located in the southern part of Vietnam, fetched around US $114.4 million from the exports of textile and garment products just with in a span of first two months of present year. The figures represented a year–on–year rise of 2.7 percent and stood at the third place of top exporting products.

Enjoying the same trend, footwear exports turnover of the province reached $114.6 million, up by 14.9 percent over same period 2007.

Exports of other products also earned big revenues including handicrafts worth $40.1 million, growing by 33.8 percent, and wood work for $197 million, up 29.3 percent.

The statistics further show that in the period of January and February, export enterprises of the province gained $906.3 million from all products, registering 25 percent boost year–on–year.

During this period, China, Germany, Netherlands, Japan, Korea, UK and US remained the top export markets for the region.
