The Ministry of Industry and Trade has recently released export figures of footwear during the first month of 2008.
The statistical data show that, the country fetched a foreign currency more than US $468 million from the exports of footwear, up by 11.2 percent over December 2007 and 23.5 percent compared to similar period last year.
In the list of top consumers, US market stood at the number one position, with purchases reaching $93.82 million, in January.
Other markets include UK for $54.16 million, Germany at $52.11 million and Belgium for $27.6 million.
