According to statistical figures released by Ministry of Industry and Trade, Vietnamese exports to the US, in the first two months 2008, reached US $1.96 billion, registering a growth of 27 percent year–on–year.

This rise is recognized as the strongest growth rate among Asian countries, who export their products to that region, during this period.

According to the report, India demonstrated 20 percent surge year-on–year, where as China, Korea and Malaysia suffered negative growth in this giant consumer market.

On the whole, it can be said that although the US economy is going through a bad phase, Vietnamese enterprises have enjoyed a considerable rise in this market, in terms of both volume and value.
