Industry and Trade department of Hanoi, is anticipating its export turnover in May this year to fetch nearly US $448 million, an increase of 0.2 percent when compared to April 2008.
During the first five months of this year, the revenue generated from exporting various products reached nearly $2.1 billion, representing a year-on-year rise of 24.4 percent.
On the other hand, from January to May, the domestic enterprises expended almost $1.8 billion on importing various items including machines and equipments for production purposes, up by 45.5 percent, over same period last year.
