MOIT releases cotton imports in H1

The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) has recently released reports showing cotton imports turnover of Vietnam during the period from January to June of the ongoing year.

In this six months time, the country imported 147,636 tons cotton of all types for local production, worth US $222.91 million, representing year–on–year growth of over 33 and 63 percent, in terms of volume and value respectively.

The top two positions in the list of suppliers were ruled by India and the US, followed by UK, Taiwan and Brazil.
