In month of June 2008, total export turnover of Vietnam textile and apparel to Hong Kong reached US $4.17 million. The figures in the first half of the ongoing year touched $18.11 million, according to official sources from Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT).
From the Italian market, the country fetched around $97.10 million in the month of June and $497.19 million in period between January to June 2008.
Similarly export to Laos also saw good growth rate at $3.8 million in June.
In the first half of the current year, Vietnam's textile and apparel exports earnings reached $4.077 billion, representing a year–on-year growth of 17.7 percent.
