In the period from January to September, of the ongoing year, Vietnam expended near about US $18.451 million for importing various raw materials for the local textile, garment and footwear production. The figures registered a year–on–year growth of 11.82 percent.
In the month of September only, the imports turnover touched at $1.67 million.
Vietnam imported various raw materials for the production textile, garment and footwear industry mainly from Thailand and Indonesia within the South East Asia region, during this period.
