In the period from January to October, Vinh Phuc Province fetched around US $265.898 million from export, equal to 95.4 percent of that achieved during the similar period 2007.
In the month of October, the export value of Vinh Phuc Province reached $27.301 million, similar to 86.5 percent of October last year. FDI sector was the biggest earner with $23.8 million. Private and State ones had their export value of $3.346 million and $0.155 million respectively.
In October 2008, main export merchandise included textile and garment products, footwear among others. Textile and garment products topped the list with $13.670 million, down 21.2 percent over September.
In total, the export value of the product reached around $149.5 million, up 25.7 percent year-on-year.
