Exports of textiles and clothing touched US $46.55 billion in the first four months of 2009, of which shipments of textile related products reached, $17.13 billion and that of clothing amounted to $29.41 billion.
For the month of April exports, from the sector accumulated to $12.49 billion. Again of this shipments of textiles scored $5.12 billion and of clothing fetched $7.37 billion. Figures of April indicate an improvement in month to month sales.
