Foreign trade declines substantially from Jan-June

According to the report of the National Bureau of Statistics, China's foreign trade continued to decline substantially which also lead to a decrease in trade surplus.

In the first half of this year, China's total import and export registered US $946.1 billion, a decline of 23.5 percent year-on-year.

Among them, exports fetched $521.5 billion, down 21.8 percent year-on-year while imports on the other hand touched $424.6 billion, down 25.4 percent y-o-y.

Trade surplus registered $96.9 billion, representing a year-on-year reduction of $2.1 billion.
