On recommendation of the Directorate General of Anti-Dumping and Allied Duties (DGAD), the government has imposed anti-dumping duty of up to US $11.38 per kg on imports of viscose filament yarn from China and Vietnam.
The antidumping duty which ranges between $4.72 and $11.38 per kg has been imposed since the DGAD after conducting an enquiry deemed that imports of viscose filament yarn would cause losses to the domestic producers.
Most of the shipments of viscose filament yarn originate from China and Vietnam. The Government of India in recent months has raised protectionist barriers against imports of fabrics, yarns and other products from China.
