According to the data released by the China Textile Industry Association, China's total exports of cotton fabrics reached 3.41 billion meters from January to July of 2009.
This indicates a decline of 10.8 percent year-on-year. Export value amounted to US $4.01 billion, a year-on-year fall of 16.24 percent.
Total imports of cotton fabric registered 509.69 million meters amounting to $925.54 million, down 21.56 percent and 22.09 percent respectively.
