Germany & US top as major export destinations for Iranian hand-woven carpets

The Iranian hand-woven carpets worth $197 million have been exported in the first six months, this year.

Germany and United States topped as buyers sharing 63 percent of the total exports.

However, carpet exports have seen a 5.6 percent drop against previous year.

Notably, the handicraft export crossed $262,000,000 mark at 14 percent, this year, which include hand-woven carpets also.

After hand-woven carpets, turquoise and precious stones were the second largest exported products for this year.
