According to customs statistics, China's imports of Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) (Customs Tariff No. 29,173,611), reached 398,300 tons in October 2009.
This is down by 85,300 tons when compared with September, while average import price stood at around US $804.16 per ton.
Imports of other Terephthalic Acid (Customs Tariff No. 29,173,619) registered 91,500 tons, less 28,500 tons compared with September with average import price at $782.47 per ton.
