Chinese T&C exports to US & Japan grow in 2009

2009 was a disappointing year for Chinese textile and clothing exports, which fell by 11.02 percent year on year to US $154.12 billion.

Among them, textile exports declined by 10.66 percent year on year and apparel exports fell by 11.24 percent year on year.

Despite which, shipments from the sector to the United States grew 1.53 percent year on year to $25.34 billion.

Textile and apparel exports to the Japanese market also slightly rose 0.26 percent year on year to reach $20.1 billion.
