Imports of textile and clothing from China to the EU, declined in 2009, due to the impact of global financial crisis and registered US $167.076 billion in 2009, down 9.82 percent year on year.
Data reveals that China's textile and apparel exports to the EU fetched $36.1 billion from January to December in 2009, down 7.22 percent year on year.
Among them, textile exports to the EU scored $7.691 billion, down 11.70 percent year on year and apparel exports touched $28.409 billion, down 5.93 percent year on year.
