Import of synthetic yarn falls in May

China's imports of synthetic fiber yarn registered 44,463 tons in May; import value amounted to US $155.13 million, slightly lower than April, representing a reduction in the second consecutive month this year, according to China Customs statistics.

In the first four months of 2010, total imports of synthetic fiber yarn fetched 207,607 tons; import value marked $714.777 million, representing an increase of 7.8 percent and 29.5 percent, respectively, year on year.
