'Look East' policy to boost RMG, Textiles, Leather exports

Iajuddin Ahmed, the President of Bangladesh expressed appreciation towards the outgoing Filipino Ambassador in the country, Jose Lino B Guerrero, for strengthening the bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Philippines, on Wednesday
The relations between the two countries have grown stronger during the envoys tenure.
He also stressed that Philippines could consider importing Bangladeshi products like pharmaceuticals, ceramic, jute and jute goods, leather and leather goods and ready-made garments, which are competitive in both quality and price.
Further, Iajuddin said that the country's 'look east' policy would help it to benefit from the economic clout that the South East and the East Asian countries have acquired.
Bangladesh will attempt to form closer ties with these countries.
Ambassador, on the other hand, praised the government of Bangladesh for its progress in micro credit, empowerment of women and education sector.
