China's textile industry continued to boom, both in domestic and export markets in September, retail sales of social consumer goods totaled 1.3537 trillion Yuan, up 18.8 percent year on year, and 0.4 percent over August.
Of which, retail sales of clothing, shoes and textiles of major and big enterprises registered 45.9 billion Yuan, an increase of 6 billion Yuan compared with August, up 26.7 percent year on year.
Customs statistics show that China's textile and apparel exports recorded US $20.015 billion in September, an increase of 19.5 percent year on year, but a decline of 0.6 percent from the previous month.
Of which, exports of textile fabrics and other products completed $6.814 billion, an increase of 20.2 percent year on year, and up 2 percent from the previous month.
Exports of apparel and clothing accessories realized $13.201 billion, up 19.13 percent year on year, but a decline of 2 percent from the previous month.
