According to reliable sources, the Government of India has suspended new registrations of cotton yarn exports.
According to these sources, the government had fixed a quota of 720 million kgs of cotton yarn exports for the fiscal year 2010-11.
The registrations for this volume have already completed and the ministry has directed that for the registrations which have already been done, should be exported before January 15, 2011.
