Thailand’s total fabric exports stood at $1,081.011 million in 2024. Cambodia was the second-largest market, accounting for 10.32 per cent of the total exports, while Vietnam was the top market with a 22.98 per cent share, according to Fibre2Fashion's market insight tool TexPro.
Thai fabric exports to Cambodia peaked at $157.030 million in 2022, a 27.4 per cent rise over 2021. Following the COVID-19 disruption, global textile and garment trade saw a sharp increase in 2022, and Thai fabric shipments followed the same trend. In 2019, Thailand exported fabric worth $133.666 million to Cambodia. The trade declined by 18.53 per cent to $108.891 million in 2020 but recovered by 13.2 per cent to $123.261 million in 2021.
Thailand is a net exporter in textile trade with Cambodia. The latter imports textiles—mainly fabric—from the former to meet the demands of its local industry. Fabric is the core product in Thailand’s textile exports to Cambodia, accounting for 95.88 per cent of total Thai textile exports worth $116.327 million in 2024. Thailand also exported yarn worth $4.284 million last year, while fibre exports were negligible, according to TexPro.
During January–February 2025, Thailand exported textiles worth $17.966 million, of which fabric shipments were valued at $17.330 million—representing 96.46 per cent of the total.
