Turkiye’s exports in November last year were worth $22.289 billion—a 3.1-per cent decrease year on year (YoY), and imports amounted to $29.748 billion—a 2.7-per cent increase YoY, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (Turkstat).

Seasonally- and calendar-adjusted exports and imports in the month increased by 0.3 per cent and 2.7 per cent month on month respectively. While calendar-adjusted exports decreased by 0.9 per cent YoY in the month, such imports increased by 6.3 per cent YoY.

Between January and November last year, exports were worth $238.462 billion—a 2.5-per cent increase YoY, and imports amounted to $311.798 billion—a 6.3-per cent decrease YoY.

Foreign trade volume was worth $42.72 billion in November 2024—a 0.6-per cent increase YoY. Foreign trade deficit was worth $7.459 billion—a 24.9-per cent increase YoY.

In the January-November 2024 period, foreign trade deficit was worth $73.336 billion—a 26.8 per cent decrease YoY.

In November last year, the share of products from the manufacturing sector in total exports was 93.7 per cent; between January and November last year, the figure was 94.2 per cent.

In November last year, the main partner country for exports was Germany ($1.682 billion), followed by the United States ($1.47 billion), the United Kingdom ($1.39 billion), Italy (1.213 billion) and Iraq ($1.87 billion). The ratio of these five countries in Turkiye’s total exports was 30.7 per cent in the month, a Turkstat release said.

Between January and November last year, the main partner country for exports was Germany ($18.793 billion), followed by the United States ($14.851 billion), the United Kingdom ($13.878 billion), Iraq ($11.844 billion) and Italy ($11.749 billion). The ratio of these five countries in total exports was 29.8 per cent during the period.

In November 2024, the top country for Türkiye's imports was Russia ($3.979 billion), followed by China ($3.628 billion), Germany ($2.3 billion), Italy ($1.968 billion), Switzerland ($1.337 billion). The ratio of these five countries in total imports was 44.4 per cent in the month.

In January-November 2024 period, the top country for imports was China ($41.51 billion), followed by Russia ($39.48 billion), Germany ($24.487 billion), Italy ($17.553 billion), the United States ($14.84 billion). The ratio of these countries in total imports was 44.1 per cent during the period.
