The main components were finished goods, comprising 38.1 per cent of the total textile exports, and yarn, constituting 46.2 per cent.
During the six-month period, yarn exports were worth $708.6 million—up from $658 million last year; finished textile products exports were worth $584 million—down from $662.6 million in 2023; knitted fabric exports were worth $114.1 million compared to $173.9 million in 2023; fabric exports were worth $75.1 million compared to $92.2 million in 2023; and exports of socks amounted to $20.5 million compared to $31.4 million in 2023, domestic media outlets reported.
The increase is attributed to reforms aimed at producing finished goods instead of raw cotton.
