Vietnam's export-import turnover grew 13% in Jan-Feb 2022

Vietnam’s export-import turnover has recorded an increase of 13 per cent in the first two months of 2022, reaching $108.5 billion, compared to the same period last year, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO). The country’s export revenue rose 10.2 per cent YoY to reach $53.79 billion, with 9 commodities accounting for 71.6 per cent of the total export value.

These 9 commodities collectively brought in close to $1 billion in the first two months this year, according to official data.

The biggest importer of Vietnamese products was the US, importing goods worth $18.3 billion in Jan-Feb 2022.

Vietnam’s imports in the first two months of 2022 amounted to $1 billion, while the trade deficit stood at $937 million. It mainly imported products from China, South Korea and ASEAN countries.
