Carrying over 1,700 containers of new energy and other high-value goods, the KAWA Ningbo cargo ship completed its non-stop voyage in 26 days—much below 45 days taken earlier. The route is set to operate on a monthly basis.
At a ceremony marking the completion of the voyage, Cong Wu, consul general of the Chinese general consulate in Hamburg, said the route plays a positive role in stabilising global product and supply chains and steady development of the new route would create new cooperation opportunities for both regions and inject fresh vitality into bilateral economic growth, a state-controlled news agency in China reported.
The route was finalised through a partnership agreement signed at the China International Import Expo last year.
