China-Europe freight train services rise 11% y-o-y in July

China-Europe freight train services increased by 11 per cent year-on-year in the month of July while maintaining safety and efficiency, according to the China State Railway Group Co., Ltd. There were 1,517 China-Europe freight train trips recorded for the previous month.

The freight trains transported a cargo of 149,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs), which is an increase of 12 per cent from last year.

In the first seven months of the year, the number of China-Europe freight train journeys reached 8,990, which was an increase of 3 per cent year-on-year. The trains carried around 869,000 TEUs of goods, which was a 4 per cent rise from last year.
