China's Erenhot railway port hits 10 mn tonne cargo milestone

Erenhot is a key transportation hub within the China-Mongolia-Russia economic corridor and also plays an essential role in the middle corridor of the China-Europe freight train service. Since its inception in 2013, Erenhot has handled 12,000 China-Europe freight train trips, according to local media reports.

This year, the port has enhanced coordination with customs authorities, border control, enterprises, and Mongolian counterparts to ensure the smooth operation of the China-Europe freight trains.
