China’s road logistics price index held steady in May 2023, reflecting a similar level to the same period last year, as per industry data. The index registered at 102.6, marking a marginal dip of 0.64 per cent compared to April 2023 due to a slowing demand growth and an ample supply of transport capacity.Meanwhile, the sub-index for full-truckload logistics, predominantly tracking bulk commodity and regional transportation, exhibited a 1.25 per cent year-on-year (YoY) rise, nudging up to 102.7, according to a joint survey by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing and the Guangdong Lin’an Logistics Group.
The country’s road logistics price index stood at 103.2 in April 2023, which was a 2.18 per cent YoY increase.
