The index tracking China’s logistics sector reached 51.2 per cent in September 2025, rising 0.3 point from August, according to the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing. The data indicated that the sector maintained its growth momentum for the seventh consecutive month, underscoring resilient business activity and steady expansion across the logistics industry.

The federation highlighted steady demand and rising service prices across the sector, underscoring improved operational performance among logistics firms. Sub-indices for railway, waterway, air transport, and express delivery all recorded gains exceeding 0.5 percentage points (pp) month-over-month (MoM), pointing to broad-based recovery across transportation segments.

The ongoing policy measures aimed at stabilising employment and business operations are bolstering confidence, said media reports quoting Hu Han, an official with China’s Logistics Information Centre.

He further added that the sector is expected to sustain stable growth as government initiatives continue to support economic recovery and market expectations.
