China's road logistics price index dropped in June this year as the growth of supply surpassed that of demand, according to a survey jointly conducted by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing and the Guangdong Lin'an Logistics Group.

The index came in at 102.4 last month, dropping by 0.17 per cent from the previous month and down by 0.32 per cent year on year (YoY), the survey found.

The sub-index for full-truckload logistics, which mainly measures bulk commodity and regional transportation, fell by 0.19 per cent month on month and by 0.33 per cent YoY, a state-controlled media outlet reported citing the survey results.

The index is likely to fluctuate at a low level in the future, given high temperatures and unfavourable weather conditions in multiple regions will affect road transportation, the survey predicted.
