The inauguration took place during his visit to the Integrated Industrial Zone in Sokhna, part of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone).
Spread across 100,000 square metres, the centre is likely to generate 2,500 jobs, both directly and indirectly. The logistics centre includes a digital platform for efficient shipment management, ensuring timely customs clearance through smart technologies. It offers secure storage, premium transport services, and connects investors with local transport companies. The facility also includes a knowledge bank for training on modern tools and a business services centre providing various investor services, as reported by the Egyptian media.
During the tour, Madbouly also inaugurated projects with a total investment exceeding $544 million. These projects span sectors such as logistics services, engineering industries, building materials, textiles, chemicals, medical and industrial gases, and renewable energy, enhancing local supply chains and strategic industries while attracting further investment.
