The road logistics price index in China dropped by 0.07 per cent week on week to 1,038.89 points during the week of January 8-12 amid milder demand growth, industry data showed.

The sub-index for full-truckload logistics price, which primarily measures bulk commodity and cross-regional transportation, stood at 1,040.36 points, dropping by 0.09 per cent week on week, according to a joint survey by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing and the Guangdong Lin'an Logistics Group.

The country’s road logistics demand expanded slower during the period, while the supply was generally sufficient, a state-controlled news outlet reported.

The index may continue to drop amid fluctuations in the next stage, the survey predicted.
