The Bangladesh Covered-Van, Truck, Prime Mover Goods Transportation Owners Association and the Bangladesh Truck Drivers Workers Federation had called the strike with a 15-point demand list.
Monir, president of the Bangladesh Truck Drivers Workers Federation, said the minister agreed to meet 14 of their demands and sought time to meet the one related to the withdrawal of additional income tax, according to Bangla media reports.
