The Turkiye Exporters Assembly (TIM) and DHL Express Turkiye have signed a strategic logistics cooperation protocol to provide exporters preferential shipping rates to 28 countries across Europe, the Americas, Asia Pacific, Africa and the Middle East.

Additionally, import routes from 12 selected countries in the Americas to Turkiye will be covered under the protocol.

Mustafa Gultepe stressed that efficient logistics is central to export competitiveness, noting a significant rise in export tonnage from 99 million tonnes in 2014 to 153 million tonnes in 2024, a fifty-four per cent increase over eleven years. He said the initiative aligns with Turkiye’s ambition to enter the world’s top ten exporting nations, highlighting the need for swift, secure, cost-effective and environmentally conscious logistics solutions.

“Within the scope of the protocol we have signed, our companies will be able to dispatch export goods to 28 countries—including the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, China, India, and Indonesia—with discounts of up to 61 per centfor a period of three months. This period may be extended. I extend my gratitude, on behalf of myself and all exporters, to Volkan Demiroglu and the entire DHL family for this meaningful partnership,” Gultepe said in a release.

Volkan Demiroglu stated that DHL Express Turkiye aims to strengthen exporters’ access to global markets through sustainable and efficient logistics. Operating in 220 regions and countries, DHL will provide cost advantages and operational efficiency to TIM members through exclusive pricing and digital logistics solutions.

Under the protocol, new TIM-affiliated customers opening accounts with DHL Express Turkiye will receive up to 61 per cent discounts based on the standard price list.

“As the world's most international company, operating in a total of 220 regions and countries, we contribute to the development of exports and our national economy through our robust infrastructure, international logistics network, digital solutions, and high-quality logistics services. With this strategic partnership realized with the Turkiye Exporters Assembly, our aim is to bolster the positioning of our business community in the arena of global competition,” Demiroglu stated.
