Visit of Chinese delegation to boost bilateral trade

For surveying conducive and enhanced bilateral trade a delegation of senior Chinese officials will be visiting Islamabad next week to hold talks with their Pakistani counterparts.
The delegation led by Assistant Commerce Minister Fu Ziying will swap over their individual offers and settle on restriction of their economic alliance during the coming five years.
During the recent visit of President's Pervez Musharraf to Beijing, it was decided that the two countries work out a broad plan, giving clear-cut course to their bilateral collaboration in the economic segment.
Both factions will also deem to eliminate definite complexity and irregularity, being faced by the business society in enhancing bilateral trade.
A lasting plan is also being intended at approaching ahead the on-going hard work to progressively correct the current imbalance of bilateral trade which is favoring China. Pakistan's export to China showed 38 percent growth.
Shahid Mahmood, Commercial Counsellor in Pakistan Embassy, said, they are convinced that the sturdy development that they had in their exports to China last year would be maintained not only this year but in the future too.
Pakistan's export to China is likely to cross the US $1 billion mark by the end of this year. On the whole the leap in the exports to China this year is likely to be over $300 million.
There are great prospects for increasing the exports, particularly of valued-added textile products including cotton fabric, home textiles and towels.
