MMF industry to be major textile sector contributor: Indian minister

The man-made fibre industry will contribute in a major way to the growth of the textile sector, Indian textile minister Piyush Goyal recently told representatives from companies producing purified terephthalic acid, mono-ethylene glycol, fibre, yarn, fabric and garments. He called for self-sufficiency in raw materials in the polyester value chain.
