Country's apparel and garment sector has recorded a slow growth till March this year.
Apparel exports and user fee collections declined to US $37.3 million and $1.382 million respectively, which was almost 35 percent lower than that in March 2005.
Sources informed that such low figures have not been recorded since 1995.
In March this year, the CNMI Division of Customs Services issued 1,141 certificates of origins for export from Saipan's 17 firms, with a total of 5,680,900 units of products sent to department and retail outlets in the US.
