In a statement, Filtea-Cgil secretary Valeria Fedeli offered a conscientious and spirited preference to invest and have confidence in the Italian textile industry while bringing an optimistic accord as the outcome for the renewal of the second two year cost-effective period of the contract.
Towards a symbolic, tangible and essential step, the attention and respect of the pay needs of employees numbering over 6,50,000 of various small business & textile units was obtained through hard work and determination while keeping together the production chain in an agreement signed in Milan.
A three month extension of the contract and a raise that corresponds to 6.1 pct of national pay would indenture wage buying power in an agreement envisaging 75 Euros at the super third level as against a claim of 78 Euros.
