Government has assured to shoulder full responsibility for tough phase that the textiles sector is undergoing, according to Kemal Unakitan, Ministry of Finance. He said this during a speech stating that the ministry is working hard to reduce that production costs and was hopefully that it will achieve results in the near future.
He urged the private sector to contribute towards these efforts and encouraged textile and garment firms to concentrate of value adding goods and quality products.
Unakitan believes that the much needed structural transformation and increased investments in infrastructure will help the industry to develop.
Finally, he expressed confidence that targets set can be accomplished through joint efforts by public and private sectors.
