Francoise Mukagihana stated that craft industry is essential part of Rwandan culture and hence, government needs to exploit its potential optimally.
Craft industry leads as a family earnings provider and promotes cultural identity also, Mukagihana stated.
This industry has the capacity to employ 100,000 people, and comprises 420 associations and 7,113 organised craftsmen.
Commerce Ministry is preparing strategic and policy paper for the crafts sector, informed sources.
