Italy seeks strong trade relationships with Qatar

At the Festival Italiano, Italian Ambassador Giuseppe Buccino Grimaldi informed that his country seeks to extend trade relationships with Qatar.

In last two years, there has been noticeable rise in joint ventures between Italian-Qatari companies, Grimaldi stated.

Italian exports to Qatar rose 55 percent in 2005 to €500 million compared to €320 million in 2004.

Whereas Qatari exports to Italy amounted €45 million in last year.

Qatari people are being influenced by Italy's lifestyle, informed Dubai-based Italian Trade Commission Director Ferdinand Fiore.
