Pavement market of Xiangyan will disappear from Shanghai map next Friday as the 40 thousand square meters of ground is being reclaimed by the Government to set up a new shopping complex.

The market has a notorious past as it was engaged in nefarious activity of selling fake clothing and passing them off as internationally reputed brands .

The illegal activities flourished as Government was unable to contain this business.

But now, with the new shopping centre coming up dealers from this area will have to look forward to other 'greener pastures.'
