Cotton demand in Vietnam is rising as textile and apparel industries are booming.
Country is largely dependent on Chinese cotton import to meet local demand, country's cotton imports from China registered rise of 30 percent.
During January to June, prices of imported material from China reported 3 percent rise to $1.81/square meter.
During the same period, button imports from China surged 43 percent to $28 million.
Among all imported button types, stamped buttons import rose 82 percent to $3.9 million, accounting for 13 percent of entire imports turnover.
