Foreign textile and garment companies are entering Vietnam by establishing plants and official business operations, informed sources from Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association-VITAS.
Malaysian company Pamatex Limited has got permission to set up textile plant in Chu Lai Economic Zones with an investment of $100 million.
While Korean company Daewon which established garment plant in Ho Chi Minh city and a textile factory in Dong Nai province, has planned to invest $8 million in another garment plant in Da Nang city.
Taiwanese company Formosa to invest around $400 million for expansion of production line and for past several years Formosa has invested $500 million.
