Advanced Fiber Process Development Short Course on Monday, October 9, 2006 8:30–5:00. The Knoxville Hilton, Knoxville, Co-sponsored by the Fiber Society and the Center for Advanced Engineering Fibers and Films Course Description.
The course will present background on the key elements in a fiber-spinning process and the state-of-the-art in modeling those elements.
The course also offers information on polymer characterization, including on-line measurements that can be made to verify model predictions.
A case study session will allow participants to gain hands-on experience with various models in an interactive setting.
