Tough foreign competition and climbing fuel prices have been termed as the reason for the loss of 10 more textile jobs.
Johnstons company explained that the cut in job was important for the profit of company, which has 700 employees of whom 260 in Hawick with the optimism regarding their prospect in luxury market of cashmere industry.
The news of job reductions comes just a week after 23 jobs were lost in Innerleithen, with the fall of MA Cashmere.
