In the state of Turkmenpagta, 34 cotton ginning companies have started processing raw cotton, especially fine-staple and medium-staple, ten days ahead of the normal schedule.
As per the agreement signed by President Saparmurat Niyazov, Turkmenpagta State Concern will examine the quality of cotton and issue conformity certificates.
To monitor the quality of the product, quality control laboratories have been opened at all receptions points and on-line analysis of raw cotton is being done which are being submitted on daily basis.
Turkmenpagta State Concern has been authorized to give contracts worth around US $4 million to the companies as per tender basis.
