Animal lovers have reason to rejoice as Chinese Government has decided to take stringent actions against illegal sale of sable fur or clothing made from its skin.
Sable is one of the most important animals protected by Chinese Government.
On October 11, the Wild Animal and Plant Protection Station in Dalian city declared that if a person or any profit-making organization found selling sable clothing or fur, the wrong-doers have to pay fine up to RMB10000 to RMB50000. Sale of apparel or textile made by other wild animals and plants without permission would also come under clutches of law.
Industry and Commerce Bureau in Dalian city has begun to check local marketplaces. Most shops which sell the apparel and textile made by wild animals and plants have obtained permission.
So far, local Government has not found any apparel, textile or other products made by the endangered species, which are protected by Chinese Government.
